Norwegian Air Visits Southwest to ‘Test Drive’ Dedicated Space

Anuvu hosted a visit the week of Sept. 19 by two representatives from longtime customer Norwegian Air Shuttle (NAS). With over 50 NAS aircraft in service with Anuvu connectivity, the airline visited Dallas to “test drive” our modernized Dedicated Space solution currently operating on about 200 Southwest aircraft. It was truly a team effort to host them in Texas, including on flights from Dallas Love Field to Denver and back.

Anuvu participants from our Commercial, Operations and Product teams directly hosting NAS included Mike Moeller, Kuan Chin, Doug Murri and Robert Rashtian, and were supported remotely by our Network Engineering, Network Operations Center and European Account teams. We also hosted a dinner with Southwest and NAS so they could discuss Dedicated Space and how the modernization program is improving Southwest’s customer experience. Both flights had speeds that allowed the NAS team to do whatever they wanted to do—including video calls to colleagues back in Norway.

“It was great to see the friendships all around with SWA and the Anuvu team,” Kuan said. “I believe this had an impact on NAS as they need a partnership approach to be successful.” Maja Davies, Anuvu’s NAS Account Manager, reported that the Norwegian team “had a wonderful experience and were very pleased with the trip.”
